HISTORY & DEVELOPMENT

Shaolin Qi Gong - Yi Jin Jing

Yi, means to change, to re-align. Jin, refers to muscles, tendons. Jing, refers to channels, meridian, or the book of wisdom.

Yi Jin Jing, as an exercise, serves functions of rehabilitation, health, and strength.

There are two main streams of Yi Jin Jing.

One stream is the North Shaolin, well known for its 8/12 brocades. In Ziboce' collection, there are about 40 popular forms among hundreds.

The other stream is the South Shaolin, well known for its Basic 18, Mid level 36, and Advanced 44 forms.
